Is the Parcel Delivery Box the Next Big Thing?

What does a parcel delivery box need to have to become the ‘next big thing’? A wide colour range – check. Size variations – check. Affordable prices – check. Price plan options – double check. There are many reasons to make the Smart Parcel Box your next big purchase. That’s why we decided to put them into black and white for you:

Delivery Box Demand

Even before COVID-19, online stores were the way forward. With people working 9-5, 5 days a week, everything from prescriptions to household necessities was being delivered to doors all over the country. The only problem? No one was at home to collect the deliveries. Established in 2015, Smart Parcel Box became the affordable alternative to driving to the Post Office every Saturday morning. A box that sits in front of your home and collects the mail for you.

With the pandemic came more online orders than ever before, with people either shielding or working from home. Pretty hard to answer the door from a Zoom meeting, right? Smart Parcel Box grew, offering people a safe and easy, contactless way to receive their deliveries. With our innovative boxes, parcels were easily able to be sanitised outdoors. This helped to reduce the chance of carrying the coronavirus into the home.

Parcel boxes truly are for everybody, with benefits for both the abled and not.

A Green Smart Parcel Box

No, not literally green coloured – though we do sell that colour, too. With a Smart Parcel Box, you’ll help to reduce CO2 emissions by ensuring a first-time delivery. Not going back and forth to the post office or depot reduces the amount of petrol you use. In turn, this helps to lower your household carbon footprint. Saves you a bit of money, too!

When installing a Smart Parcel Box in your garden, not only will you be helping the planet but your outdoor space will get a brand-new feature, too! Experts say that renovating or adding features such as this can help to increase your property value. Yet another reason to make such an eco-friendly investment.

The Delivery Box and #DogAwarenessWeek

dog awareness

This week, for #DogAwarenessWeek, Royal Mail shared some scary statistics that postal workers have to face: 31% of dog attacks happen in a garden or driveway, with another 41% happening from the front door. Another 20% are bitten when posting an item through the letterbox, while 8% of poor postmen and women are attacked when walking the street. In total, 1690 Royal Mail workers harmed in 2020, and the company took to social media to request dog owners to consider installing a mailbox at the end of their property boundary.

For a traditional, postal look for the end of your driveway, consider our Bordeaux and red range of parcel drop boxes.

💡 Did You Know: Many postal workers carry treats for dogs in their pockets. Why not leave a treat basket on top of your mailbox to see if you can grab a few goodies for your precious pet? A photo might even help too!
